Police Territoriale

The Territorial Police Service, formerly the Saint-Barthélemy Municipal Police, was created in October 1980, and is headed by 1 Brigadier assisted by 5 guards. the demographic and economic expansion of the island, combined with growing demand from the population, has led the various Mayors to increase this number. In 2004, there were 7 municipal police officers and 1 administrative officer.

These devices make it possible: - A link between the territorial police, the national gendarmerie, the paf, the fire brigade, the hospital, the technical services, the territorial waste collection and treatment service, - A watch for maritime traffic on channel 16, with the port authorities and the cosma, - A satellite link with the external services of the State, during major events or natural disasters"
