Coming to St Barth

International Airport Code : SBH
The Airport, Gustav III, constitutes an attraction in itself.
Wedged between the hill of the “Tourmente” and St. Jean Beach where she simply “ends”, her one and only runway of 640 meters only (700 yards) welcomes small planes and helicopters with a 20 passenger maximum and specially qualified pilots.

Flight weekly. From Pointe-à-Pitre to St-Barts :
Air Caraibes : about 3 flights daily
The opening through the hill accessing the runway was enlarged, but the road to Gustavia is still extremely close to the trajectory of the airplanes that brush just past the cars.
The landing is always thrilling for both onlookers and passengers. Remy de Haenen was the first to land in 1945.
A few airlines, St-Barth Commuter (the local airline), Winair, Air Antilles Express , Winward Island, as well as luxury private charter companies such as Tradewind Aviation, insure the rotation to the neighbor islands hosting an international airport.
