Casually elegant, the Strand sets an identifiable benchmark of progress for Gustavia restaurants, combining mood, setting, people and food in perfect proportion, and proving that a restaurant doesn’t have to be boring to put out great food, or sacrifice culinary standards because it’s hip.
Here, both are admirably achieved, but for culinary purists, come before 10 pm, after which the restaurant mood swings decidely more to lounge.
