This iconic racing together for 18 years (7 editions from Lorient) and since 2006 in Concarneau (2nd edition 2008, 3rd in 2010), the greatest skippers to link in tandem, Concarneau at St Bartholomew (3710 miles ) aboard monohulls from 10 meters strictly identical: the Figaro Bénéteau 2.
It is therefore a transatlantic "playing field" where only the sports and human qualities make the difference
True race about 21 days, it offers the possibility of a confrontation between professional and amateur circuit. This transatlantic double nonstop is held every two years. The start of the 10th edition will be given Concarneau April 18 next to an arrival in Saint Barthelemy deemed effective May 6
Organization The 10th Transat AG2R is an event organized by Pen Duick, with the participation of the City of Concarneau to the start of the Collective Overseas St. Bartholomew for the arrival and with the collaboration of the French Federation of Sailing.

The starting gun will be fired on Saturday, April 21 at precisely 1pm from the French Navy boat, “Le Sagittaire,” which will be in Concarneau especially for the start of the race. And the local population will watch the spectacle of the boats unfold in the harbor as the sailors leave the port in the direction of Saint Barth. Aboard their 10-meter Figaro boats, the sailors head toward Saint Barth, the pearl of the Caribbean where their arrival is always greatly anticipated. And as is local tradition, the boats are met with the sound of foghorns and blowing of conch shells.
