  • St Barth Marigot beach
Edged by coconut palms, Marigot Beach is a tranquil nature reserve with beautiful crystalline waters ideal for swimming and snorkelling.
  • St Barths Beaches - St Barts Island
There are Twenty two beaches on St. Barths, all blessed with gleaming white sand. Few are crowded, even in peak season. All are public and free. Nudism is ostensibly prohibited; topless is not unusual
  • Saint Barthelemy Beaches St Barts
There is a smattering of hotels and restaurants at Flamands, a huge stretch of white sand fringed with lataniers palms. The village of Corossol verges on a lovely beach that serves the practical purpose of a fishing port.
  • vacances St Barthelemy Vacances St Barthelemy

International Airport Code : SBH
The Airport, Gustav III, constitutes an attraction in itself.
Wedged between the hill of the “Tourmente” and St. Jean Beach where she simply “ends”, her one and only runway of 640 meters only (700 yards) welcomes small planes and helicopters with a 20 passenger maximum and specially qualified pilots.
The opening through the hill accessing the runway was enlarged, but the road to Gustavia is still extremely close to the trajectory of the airplanes that brush just past the cars.
The landing is always thrilling for both onlookers and passengers. Remy de Haenen was the first to land in 1945.
At that time the runway was still a field.
At the base of the rock which dominates the plain, just on the edge of the runway, a small “case” served as an office for the airport.
The “case” is still there, facing the new building inaugurated in 1984 and currently in the process of undergoing a general makover in order to provide a more comfortable welcome for its voyagers.
For the longest time the security control was at a minimum, but that has recently been regulated to international standards.
The atmosphere however remains innocent, between tensed smiles of passengers still under shock from the acrobatic landing and large signs of habituals saluting the friends they’ve come to retrieve.
The small airport offers only the bare necessities:
A registration counter, rooms for boarding and customs, a small, first-floor shopping area and bar-restaurant, car rental area and a taxi stop.
Note: The main hotels provide their shuttles at each landing in order to insure the transfer of their clients.
Just in front of the airport, two shopping centers offer a wider choice of commerce: supermarkets, banks, boutiques, travel agencies, real estate office.
A few airlines, St-Barth Commuter (the local airline), Winair, Air Antilles Express (in partnership with Air Caraibes) , Winward Island, as well as luxury private charter companies such as Tradewind Aviation, insure the rotation to the neighbor islands hosting an international airport.
